Acknowledging music's universal ability to inspire, Close Up! Steinway Salon Chamber Series seeks to delve deeper into its profound effects through immersive chamber music concerts.  Our mission is to engage Central Arkansas with meaningful programs highlighted by performances on the STEINWAY PIANO, aiming to expand classical music appreciation.  As Close Up! enters its 3rd season, we appreciate Central Arkansas’ enthusiastic support of our distinctive offerings of intimate concerts which promote a special bond between performers and audiences.  We value the sincere dedication of our musicians and look forward to presenting four distinctive themed concerts for the 2024-25 season.

The season begins with "Brahms Retrospective," an all-Brahms concert highlighting his Second Cello Sonata and First Piano Trio. The second concert, "20th Century Portrait," explores a diverse range of chamber music from the “Age of Extremes” featuring works by Peter Schickele, John Adams, and Igor Stravinsky. "Merging Ideas," our third concert, examines notable chamber works that were either collaboratively composed or initiated by one composer and completed by another.  The season finale, "Allusions," presents an all-Schubert/Beethoven program that delves into the narrative essence of music.
